I'm reconfiguring my NL edit system and I'd like to find out who would
be interested in buying 18g of SCSI-II wide storage in a ProMax enclosure.
This package includes a wide cable and active terminator. $600 shipped.
The two internal 9g drives are Micropolis Tomahawk drives. Each drive,
alone, is capable of over 8MB/s in Finder copying. RAID capability is higher.
The enclosure is ProMax's heavy duty metal case with two fans- one for the
power supply and one for the drives.
An Adaptec Ultra SCSI card (not Ultra-2, not LVD) is available for $100.
All the above items are past their 1-year warranty. All are currently in
regular use editing DV on a Beige G3 system. They work and work flawlessly.
We are replacing them with IDE internal drives.
