Dear Advisors,
I'm a freelance Director working in crisis hit Indonesia, my only chance of survival is to shoot small documentaries on my new Canon XL1 and teach myself to edit on a new Mac G3. I bought Premier 5 because I thought it would be easiest to learn. I now find that Premier 5 will not capture with the firewire card on the Mac G3.
 
Can anyone give me Info on the best capture/edit software combination for Mac G3 and Canon XL1.
 
HELP PLEASE.
