Someone help me understand this...please.
I still don't get the hesitation for stepping up and H E L P I N G some of us here.
Even when I do freelance (and yes I still do) and when I was full-time freelance I knew what I made at the end of the year. (can you say taxes) SO you take that number and divide it by a "normal" 40 hour week of 2080 hours a year. And bingo! WAIT BEFORE YOU START IN ON ME, I KNOW KNOW KNOW most freelancers DO NOT work normal 40 hour weeks. AND each job pays differently based on thousands of factors. AND all the 100's of other reasons.
I was TRYING to do something that would really help all of us here. I KNOW joe blow fresh out of school gets paid such and such. And Mr know it all gets a bit more. BUT I was talking about Y O U ! How do YOU know what to charge or ask for unless you know what your buddies doing generally the same job makes?
Its funny how open we are at just about everything else in our life when talking over the internet. But when it comes to this, everyone clams right up and/or makes excuses.
You do have the right to your privacy, that I do not dispute. But this information will ONLY help you and others. I see no downside to this at all. (and I am sure you will tell me otherwise))
But then again...uh...never mind.
Sean
