We share most but not all

Hey, I've agreed with an Anthony post twice in a week, that's spooky! I'm
afraid we live in a world of market forces and it is a business with a hell
of a lot more people trying to get in than there is possible work; that HAS
to drive down wages. Ever since editing lost the need to be a full blooded
video engineer, and since just about every college in the western world now
does some sort of 'Media' course, there is a plague of people who think they
can become editors et al. Most of them can afford to have pretty good NLE &
graphics on their home computer so they can come into the business at a
pretty high level of understanding.
At the end of the day talent will out, if you're good enough your boss will
want to keep you; if you're not then why should he!
I'm with Anthony, I pay myself and decide what each job is worth to me.
Curiously I often find the most interesting jobs pay the most, so there is
usually no contest.
