Hi Rod,
I'm using a nifty little piece of software called "TalentPrompter", its $95!
Its basic but allows you to create your script in a text editor (I use
Simpletext) and then import it to TalentPrompter where you can still edit it
more if you need to, of course.
It doesn't support colored text or all the bells and whistles, but it does
the job;-)
The scroll speed is adjustable. Only one font, which is fine.
I take the S-VHS out of the PowerBook and send it to a small video monitor
with a (cheap) reflective fixture I made myself using plexiglass mounted
under the camera. On the road, I sometimes use the Powerbook itself as the
prompter with a wireless mouse to control it. Works great:-) Just one of
many uses for a mobile production studio:-))
