FWIW, multi-standard TV's are fairly common in Australia. Less so
multistandard VCRs. There are some models that support NTSC playback to
PAL monitors but my guess would be they would be less than 20% of the
installed base (probably 10%). Very, very few people have any need for
NTSC here.

But a mulitstandard TV would let her use her NTSC camcorder and monitor it.
Don't bring the TV from the States - it won't receive anything and may not
work on 240 v power. (And 50 Hz power).
