When you live in a contry like Australia (or Argentina where I live) is very
a common thing to find that all the TV set's an VCR's are multisystem (Pal,
NTSC and in some cases PAL-M or Pal-N). But HI8 VCR's normally only have one
colour system. The best thing she can do, if she wants to copy those tapes,
is buying multi system VCR (VHS) like the old AGW1 from Panasonic that can
transcode from and and to every colour system from tape, line input and also
record from TV. If the only she wants is to see those tapes the only thing
she have to do is to buy a multi-system TV.
