>Are any of you guys recording voice-overs straight to your macs ?
>Is it practical, if so how, if not why not ?
Though I've tried it, I have often fallen back to your method, of
recording to SVHS and then digitizing because this allows freedom for the
narrator. While there may be no difference, it seems easier to pause and then
continue a taped recording while specific wordings are changd, and then, I can
digitize only the good takes for use in the video.
