If I do remember correctly, and it's been a while, workgroup servers
used to make good bases for VVS and VVST systems because they came with la=
rger
HD subsystems and some of the fastest processors. You didn't find them muc=
h
because they were noticibly more expensive than ordinary machines because =
of
the above mentioned advantages, and the fact that they came with server
software, which won't be used if you are using it for video. (sharing and
digitizing are mutually exclusive.)
I checked the Radius boards, and though antiquated by todays systems, they=
are
precicely on track for your interest in an older machine.

VideoVision Studio and Telecast
Radius 81/110
It is considered to be compatible, with the following notes: =95The
motherboard video connector is not compatible with VideoVision Studio;
its use will cause dropped frames. You must use a card to drive a
secondary display.
=95If you intend to upgrade to Telecast, you will need a slot for the
VideoVision, a slot for the Telecast card, and a slot for the SCSI card.
Therefore, your secondary display must be an HPV card (which the 81/110
lacks). This can be purchased separately; see your authorized Radius
dealer.

I hope this helps.
