I have no idea. I was told a by a salesperson that the extra coating on
Excellence decreases drop-out, so I presumed that would be true for both SP
and LP (as well as putting some credence in 'getting what you pay for' -
i.e., the higher price for Excellence must reflect some inherently greater
quality. The Sony literature for my camcorder only says that Excellence
should be used for LP recording, nothing about SP.
Obviously I'm not a credible source here. Can anyone clearly answer Al's
question?
