We have number of schools around the country using FireMAX Studio in
class rooms. FireMAX ships with Premiere and employs FireWire, a digital
connection, between camcorder or deck and the computer. You can add a
variety of effects software if needed. FireMAX supports TimeCode batch
capture and Assemble Edit. This way a student can erase their project and
easily return to same point next session allowing the next student to use
the hard disk space for their project. This save a lot of expense
eliminating costs disk arrays or upload/download time from tape backup,
etc.
I would be happy to give you names so you can compare notes with other
teachers as to how it works. The quality is excellent since it maintains
original quality from start to finish and as many times as you want to
recapture.
Thanks,
