It may have replaced part of your System software with another piece with
it's installer. Go through your system folder's active extensions and control
panels and make sure everything is as you left it.
One trick I use is to color everything when I get things working the way
I want them to. When the system works smoothly, I label them all, "hot" or
something. This makes them red. Then I can tell if another different extension
has found it's way into my setup.
