Hi Roger,
Since you're Tokyo, do you happen to know the current price for
DSR-200a over there? Does this Japanese version have exactly the same
features as the one here in U.S.? My VX1000 was purchased from Japan and
has the wide screen mode feature.
My other question is whether the DSR-200a's function is pretty
close to VX1000? I just don't have time to go through learning another
camcorder if they're the same.

<pricing?? the boxes he said that they hadn't received any
<literature yet, since it wasn't to be released until Oct.10th, and he
<didn't have any info or specs.
