Mark asked:

Does anyone have any info/leads/links on streaming video with Java or
with some method using no web browser plug-in like Real or Quicktime,
etc.

Efficient?
How do you encode it?
Serve it?
Applets available?

On the development end, Mac-specific info is preferred.

Thanks alot,

I answer:

Try "Emblaze Video" at http://www.emblaze.com/

Streaming multimedia without plugins or player software. It uses Java,
but I've heard that it doesn't work really well. Mac-versions available.
