    Don't miss this great opportunity to intern and live on the coast of Spain.
    Internships will be tailor made based on YOUR interests, skills, and
    abilities. Spanish language proficiency will be required.

    Program Details

    Summer ONLY June 23 to September 1, 2005
    Fall ONLY September 23 to December 2, 2005

    Summer AND Fall Begins June 23 (Note: Students choosing the summer and fall
    program may choose when to begin the 10-week fall segment of the program.
    However, the fall segment must begin no later than September 23 nor beyond
    December 2, 2005).

    Program Fee: $5850-Summer only or Fall only
                            $9990-Summer AND Fall

    The program fee includes the following:

    . Full room and board in a Spanish home in single or shared rooms with
    laundry service
    . Orientation program in Madrid followed by transportation to Alicante (via
    Toledo)
    . Internship placement and supervision in Alicante
    . Co-curricular and cultural activities
    . Contemporary Spanish culture seminars
    . Access to local university facilities and services
    . Full-time resident staff in Alicante
    . Medical insurance
    . 24-hour emergency support

    Program fees do not include:

    . Round-trip transatlantic flight between the U.S. and Madrid
    . $250 refundable security deposit
    . Passport and visa fees as applicable
    . Personal expenses
    . UC-Davis fees (for those receiving academic credit)

    Language Requirement:

    Must submit one of the following with application materials:

    A) Unofficial transcript showing completion or work in progress of UC Davis'
    Spanish 23 - Spanish Composition I (for non-native speakers) or Spanish 31 -
    Intermediate Spanish for Native Speakers I or their equivalents from another
    college or university.

    B) Language placement results from the UC Davis language lab, placing in at
    least Spanish 23 for non-native speakers and Spanish 31 for native speakers.

    C) Language evaluation Form completed by a faculty person in the Spanish
    Department. (This evaluates: pronunciation, oral fluency, aural
    comprehension, reading comprehension, writing ability, command of grammar &
    comments on aptitude for learning a foreign language)

    Submit the following to apply:

    * Completed application form

    * Statement of intent

    * Resume

    * Unofficial transcript

    * Proof of language requirement
