Scott's suggestion is a very good one. Glen Creason is the Map
Librarian at LAPL, who put together that exhibit, if you want to
follow up there.
Also, Calisphere, the OAC's image collection, has digitized older
maps, mainly from the Bancroft. If you search on
"map ranchos angeles" in the search box you get 33 results. (I often
forget about Calisphere, I have to admit!) It's at
http://www.calisphere.universityofcalifornia.edu/
