Hi, folks -
I've gotten roped into making some maps of the routes Klondike wannabes
took to get to the gold fields in the late 1890s. For the way I want to
make them, I'd like to find files showing state/province boundaries
(Yukon Territory, western portion of the Northwest Territories as far
east as where the northern end of the eastern boundary of Alberta
intercepts the southern boundary of the NWT, British Columbia, Alberta,
Alaska (the whole thing), and Washington at least to the bottom of Puget
Sound and east as far as the crest of the Cascades) and the entire
length of the Yukon, Petty, Fraser, and Thompson Rivers with their
corresponding tributaries. Is there an existing digital map that allows
editing and is available to the public (or UC retirees) and could
somebody point me to it/them, please? Unfortunately, I've been doing
all kinds of graphical stuff except maps for the last several years so I
have no clue about what may be available.
Thanks for any light you can shed.
