The collection is complete set of all USGS published maps for the state of =
California. It is approximately 5000 sheets and contains all 1:24,000 scal=
e topographic quadrangles, orthophotoquads and National Wetland Inventory m=
aps and all 1:100,000 and 1:250,000 scale maps. =
The maps are clean and unmarked. They are neatly and securely filed in geo=
graphic order in six PlanHold MasterFile locking hanging cabinets. Each ca=
binet is 45in wide and 21in deep. Opening depth for the cabinets requires =
about 60in of space. The collection is in Sacramento and can easily be loa=
ded and transported in a van or small truck. =
The Dept of Fish and Game used the maps for many years but are now offering=
them for free to any institution that can provide a good home. The only s=
tipulation is that we would prefer to not break up the set.
Please contact me if you have any suggestions.
