[CALMAP:331] Afghanistan 1:50K topographic maps - rasters and maps for sale

    I checked melvyl and socrates and
    it doesn't look to me as if any of
    us have the paper maps for this series cataloged.
    I did find out we have the 1:100Ks paper maps(Soviet
    military produced; looks
    as if I haven't cataloged them yet).

    Is this a series anyone is interested
    in putting some $$$ toward? Initially
    I was looking at it as a good possibility,
    but when we have the 1:100Ks here and
    they're uncopyrighted, although I'd
    sure love to have this more detailed coverage
    available, I'm not sure it's worth $24,000
    to us all. What are your thoughts?

    Here's the deal--you have 4 options:

    Afghanistan 1:50,000 scale Russian topo maps, complete country set: 1,653
    maps

    Raster only (Full Tiff): $14.95 x 1,653 = $24,712
    Raster (Full Tiff) + Georeferenced raster (cropped Geo WGS84 GeoTiff):
    $17.95 x 1,653 = $29,671
    Raster (Full Tiff) + Paper Originals: $24.95 x 1,653 = $41,242
    Raster (Full Tiff) + Georeferenced raster (cropped Geo WGS84 GeoTiff) +
    Paper Originals: $27.95 x 1,653 = $46,201

    For any of the above options, there would also be a charge of $199 for an
    external hard drive, plus a customary shipping charge. Please let me know
    how you wish to proceed.
