Hi all,
Remember Calview, the California chapter of the AmericaView program
(www.americaview.org)? They promote remote sensing data and technologies.
The UC/Stanford Map Group had Kathy Stroud send a letter of support a few
years ago. Amy King, Calview Coordinator is at UCSD, and they are connected
to CASIL http://gis.ca.gov/ . That's my understanding.
I, for one, use the CASIL data often, so I am favorable to discussing the
possibility of joining their consortium, as proposed by Amy King. Her
information is in the attached files, and below my email.
I am forwarding this information ahead of the discussion we are having at
the Calmap meeting in December so you can prepare. Does anyone think we
should invite Amy King to attend the meeting as she has asked?
Wendie

Hi Wendie,
It was nice chatting with you on Tuesday. Attached is a one-page
overview of CalView, as well as the draft MOU, for members of the
Librarians Group to review. If you think it would be helpful to have a
human presence at your December meeting, just let me know. I could
probably arrange to get there and give a brief presentation on CalView,
the consortium, etc.
Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Amy
