Just a minor problem - the email
software I use at the library doesn't have
a "junk" folder that I can check and that's
where the SimplyMap emails were going.
So ... either use an email software that
has a "junk" folder the user may check
(e.g., hotmail), or ask your library's
sysadmin to "whitelist" the @simplymap.com
emails.
Slightly fuller explanation:
What happens with the SimplyMap software
is that when a user registers, the user sends
an email and password, in response to which
the SimplyMap software sends a confirming
email with a URL that must be clicked on/copied and
pasted in to a Web browser in order to activate
the person's account. If the user doesn't get
that account-activation email, the user is
not going to be able to log on.
And the problem is that spam filters
whisk @simplymap.com emails into trash
without one seeing them.
a. Try using a non-library email account where
there is a "junk" folder you can take a look in,
find the first simplymap.com email address and
note that it is not junk.
b. I have asked Josh Preston to "whitelist" emails
from @simplymap.com
