    Dear bibliographer,

    >From time to time I acquire limited quantities of somewhat older
publications. This is an example of one. I am quoting it to you in the
belief that you may be interested in acquiring it for your institution.

Please forward this message to your map librarian, if this is the person
who makes acquisition decisions regarding this type of materials.

Since I have only a limited quantity, I will fill orders on a
first-come, first-serve basis. However, if you let me know by e-mail
that you intend to purchase this map set, I will treat your order as the
date of the e-mail. Thanks for your consideration. Don't forget to
    mention our item number!

                    PLEASE SPECIFY: ITEM 1-135218
Metropolitana-Iztapalapa. [México, D.F.]: Instituto Nacional de Lenguas
    Indígenas, 2005. 150 color maps, scales differ. Sheets 69cm x 95cm in
    portfolio 73cm x 98cm. ISBN: 970-5400008. OCLC: 70928091.

According to 2000 national census, 7.1% of Mexican population speaks an
indigenous language. This map set indicates places in Mexico and
geographic location in which at least 5% of population (five years of
age or more) speaks an indigenous language. It identifies 58 distinct
language groups and pinpoints areas on at least one map where they are
spoken; however some language groups are present in such widespread
geographic areas, that up to 22 maps are required to show their spread.
Each map contains additional information regarding origin and meaning of
indigenous languages, their linguistic genealogy, details about
traditional settlement patterns where spoken, plus number of people
known to speak language according to 2000 census. Maps use shading and
colors to indicate geographic features, elevations, hydrology and
vegetation growth. Maps are printed at varying scales on
semi-plasticized paper, rendering them somewhat resistant to breakage.
    Set includes plastic portfolio (73cm x 98cm x 5cm) and weighs
approximately 20 kilograms; we construct special wooden shipping frame
to ensure each set arrives in optimal condition. $282.30 set (plus
    shipping)

PLEASE REPLY DIRECTLY TO OUR MEXICO CITY OFFICES, EITHER BY POST, FAX,
