thanks to Lisa Clark here in MIL,
for finding out about this.
as per Cynthia's email of awhile
back on this topic, it's a substantial
amount of money and those of
us for whom these maps are definitely
in collecting scope need as much
advance notice as possible.

Looks like they will be publishing until about July 2008.

Lisa thanks for the question... Attached you will find the 2007 Dibblee Map making schedule (7.5 minute maps only), an 11x17 index map that was current as of February 2007, and a Master Index that is dated but still almost correct. The Master Index color scheme showing published maps is way out of date but the projected publishing dates are still current. As you will note we intend to finish publishing the Dibblee Geologic Map Collection in July 2008 probably with DF 404 down on the Mexican boarder. Although we are a little behind schedule now we should finish the 7.5 minute quads this October and publish our first double 15 minute maps in November 2007. The order of publishing the 15 minute maps may change somewhat depending on demand but the end date should be preserved. Hope that answered your questions. John
