    Hello -

We have something to share with those of you with lots of earth
sciences patrons, who love those Dibblee maps. As you know, the
Dibblee Foundation has started publishing about 10 maps per month.
Very few libraries are doing the original cataloging these maps
require. We are cataloging them as time permits, but decided we
needed a comprehensive list of recently received Dibblees to use for
reference, since it can be months before they're cataloged.

So a quick and dirty web page has been born, and those of you who are
cataloging them are welcome to check it to see what we've cataloged
    here at UCSC. It's at

    http://library.ucsc.edu/maps/new_dibblees.html

And when I use "the royal UCSC we", it really refers to Terra Hangen
who does the original map cataloging at Santa Cruz. Hats off to Terra
for her steadfast attempt to keep up with the incoming tide of
    Dibblees!

    Cynthia
