  • Next message: Mary Larsgaard: "[CALMAP:165] inventory of maps scanned at USGS Menlo Park"

    1) David will follow-up with Greg Allen of USGS.
-The last email I have from David on this is dated January 2007,
and gives the URL for this USGS effort:

    http://infotrek.er.usgs.gov/pls/htmldb/f?p=182:1:3421198413713854611
    </exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://infotrek.er.usgs.gov/pls/htmldb/f?p=182:1:3421198413713854611>

    2) Mary will contact Li Hunt’s successor about the status of scanned CA
    topographic maps.
    - I got in touch with Wayne Shoaf and got this response dated Jan 4
2007; I nag about once every 6-12 months:

    Mary,

    Thanks for your nudging.

We are indeed going to make these available online.

I wish I could predict with more certainty when that will be. This
particular project keeps getting bumped by other priorities.

    Wayne

    3) Mary will contact Mitch (or Diane Garcia) at USGS for a complete list
of CA topos published by USGS and for information on their scanning of
    topos.
    - I got in touch with Mitch Adelson and he sent me a.xls file with list.
    Jan 4, 2007.
I'll forward his message right after I send this.
