Hi Kathy,
Ours is in the open stacks and circulates. We don't really try to protect
the atlases and truth be told, I don't think they get much use
anymore. Atlases over 100 years old (or so) get moved to a locked area. I
don't have the space in locked stacks to keep a whole lot of stuff.
