Subject: [CALMAP:126] "Township" map of Kern County?
And I don't mean the Township/Range/Section
type - these are a form of townships I've
not seen before because they also
aren't the named townships that are
common in, e.g., northern Minnesota
(although they seem somewhat similar
to that). In the 1940 Census
of Population, Kern County has
17 townships, numbered 1-17.
We here don't seem to have
a map that shows the boundaries
of these maps; if anyone else
does, we'd sure like to have
it on interlibrary loan, or
alternatively a scan of it.
