    Hello all,

We have two copies of the book "Reconnoissance soil survey of the Sacramento
Valley, California" by L.C. Holmes, J.W. Nelson, and party, Washington,
Govt. Print. Off., 1915. However, we cannot locate the map that went with
the book. A graduate student here is looking for a copy of the map for her
research. The map is titled "Soil map, reconnoissance survey, Sacramento
Valley sheet, California" (Or maybe "reconnaissance").

It looks like UCLA has a copy of the map, but I was hoping that one of you
with a large format scanner could possibly get me a digital scan. If that's
not possible, could someone loan it to me? I'd like to take it for scanning
(either a large format roller scanner or digital photography). I would
personally escort the map. If it's not in a condition to be copied, but
you're willing to loan it anyway, it would be for in library use only.

If anyone can assist me, please let me know.

    Thanks,
