    Hi Kathy,

I would also like to have a full sized map scanner in the Map Collection. I
turned in the specs for a HP Designjet 815MFP on my equipment wish list. I
would like to see the answers you receive also. Right now the Science
Library Copy Center (down the hall) scans and prints maps in black and white
for a fee, but will not save to a file. The Map Collection only has an 11"
    by 17" scanner.

Subject: Map Scanner Available in Library?

    Hi all,

I know this is a repeat of discussions from a few years ago, but I'd like an
update on what other libraries are doing.

Could each of you let me know the following?

    1) Do you offer in-house full sized map scanning to patrons?

    2) If yes, is it self service or staff mediated?

    3) Do you charge, and what is your fee structure?

(I'm looking for ways to justify a scanner and see what service models other
    libraries are operating under.)

    Thanks,
